Aubrey Texas is located in the Cross Timbers region and about 45 minutes from the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Aubrey maintains it’s small-town charm with a population of approximately 1900 people. Known by some as the “Horse Capital” of Texas, because of it’s sandy, fertile land and the moderate climate make Aubrey a favorite for horse ranchers. Farm products you’ll see from the area include cattle, hay, fruits, and vegetables. Since 1980 Aubrey has grown in population by 160% and peanuts have replaced cotton as the number-one crop; an annual average of 3,000 tons is processed in the local drying plant.
